Very nice!
Now, if he just had blonde hair and a Hulk Hogan tasche...
How far down the pile do my commissions currently stand?

Most right next in line, those before yours should be out relatively quick, except for the FAWTL one, which is pretty big.

I can imagine; how many FAWTLers are there, now?
It's grown since the last picture. You'll need a mural.

As much as I believe I'm on friendly terms with all the FAWTL gang, and would love to be part of such a close group, I can't spare the hours to follow those threads. How do they keep up? How do they find the time?

Mrs Snorter saw that message at looked at it suspiciously, till I explained it was not a sexual euphemism.

Well a shield should be plain. If its to elaborate, it'll just look bad after a few battles :P

I don't know if this is nitpicking; take it just as a very humble suggestion :-)

The "logo" on the shield looks good. Too good :-) It's like it's airbrushed over the shield. In my opinion, it would look better if it was some kind of engraving.

the symbols is a "pasted" imaged... I tried to filter it out so that it looked less "overlaid" on the shield, but apparently to not much success :D

Well done! Getting tighter and tighter man. If you got rid of the hints of "lines", I would say you have that "look" in your grasps.

Yup, I just need to gatherthe "nerve" and get out of my "outlined" comfort zone, and avoid making a fool of myself at Sarah's seminars :D

Great work, Hugo!

Etching would be nice...and a nice technique to add to your already awesome repertoire.

But one possibility for the holy symbol is that it's painted on with acrylic paint...or perhaps oil paint with a lacquer coat? Didn't real knights have something like that done?

The fact that the design visibly conforms to the angles on the shield lends itself to the interpretation that it may very well have been painted.

a little more "dirt" on the symbol or something to integrate it to the shield may do the trick... gotta think about it.

Good job on making him look young, already battle-hardened, and yet still hopeful. Truly a proper paladin of Iomedae.

And nice touch with the jambiya dagger at his waist. I like the suggestion that he's already seen some of the world.

Those tiny details are what brings a character to life. I least that's what I think :D

I agree completely. This is heads-and-shoulders above most fantasy art I've seen.

Great job! I love how the battered shield shows that he experienced already some fights and is not just posing for a painting

Yeah, that's some sort of "rule" that I have, never display a fantasy character on "shiny new armor" -or equipment- un less there's a very good reason for it.
