The Thousand Fangs Below, the Vaults of Madnes and many other odd names are given to this humid and scaly city.

Deep in the darklands, Ilmuera lies directly below of the city of Saventh-Yhi, pinned down by the "seven spears" of the city. Ilmuera, just as Saventh-Yhi, is an abandoned ruined city which is not entirely unhabited, many treats lurk in its dark corners and flooded corridors.
Map Description This map is to be a "sister city" of the upper city Saventh-Yhi, and so its general layout was already set to mimic the city abode. The lake is formed by the large syphoned water draining from Saventh's lake and then draining slowling into a large and misty ravine. The west and Northwest part of the vault have partially collapsed, causing a large cave-in on the west and blocking off direct connection with the north and south vaults. The whole south part lies on a higher vault, creating an imposing wall almost at the center of the city and huge eerie waterfall. The central west portion of the city has been overrun by an orange fungus and moss "forest". The city is exotically colorful due the nature of its original founders and the main feature of the city are its seven temples shaped like colosal serpents.
Process This city follow almost the same process as Saventh-Yhi, thou the BIG difference is that all buildings are handmade. Once the final sketch was done, I traced the buildings outlines with ink and the scanned it and left them as they were (with a little touching up, of course), you can see the difference between the buildings of Saventh-Yhi and Ilmuera pretty easely, for Ilmuera's are a lot less straight and clean. Not doing it again unless the whole map is going for a hand-made feeling for it looks very sketchy. I think I overdid the "colorful" description of the city... back when I did this one my sense of coloring was pretty screwed and everything I did looks like straight out of a children's book...well... live and learn. The lake whirlpools are actual "waterfall" pilars streaming from gaps in the ceiling, which maybe I should have made more clear by adding stream line. I'm not talking about the bevel and emboss filter... that's just a "won't happen again" issue.
I wish I could had find a way to make it darker without killing the visibility... maybe its just an issue of "colorful", too late to find out.
Your killing me with this awesomeness.
