First of all, Happy New Year to everyone! Lots of hugs and best wishes :)

Second, this past holidays with the family didn't allow me to move much forward on the illustration front, and this has made me take another course of action for this year. The plan remains the same but I'll extend my dedication to these private commissions to february as well, so  I won't be taking any more work with deadlines within January and February. This made me see real clear that even when illustration is not a full time job that I do in my spare time, I really need to separate it from the family time and even from any "household" time. If I wish to keep this going, I need it to formalize it and give it its proper, regular and disciplined time. As I mentioned before, The commissioners who have been kind and patient enough with me and my epic delays will be compensated.

My first biggets resolution for this year is be to CLEAR ALL THE DELAYED artwork before taking anything else, so, I better push it faster or else i'm going to be very tight on money very soon, not to mention the unreasonable amount of time I've taken to finish this work... I still remember how 3 years ago I couldn't believe that an illustrator would give a two-week time frame for commissions.... The irony!

So, in a nutshell:
-Jan and Feb will be all about clearing out ALL the private commissions.
-I'll keep a nearly daily journal update on Private comissions (except weekends!)
-I won't be taking any more jobs with a deadline before Feb 28th or when all commissions are cleared
-Previous commissioners will get a preferential deal if they ever want to commission more work.

Thanks for you support and patience and looking forward to fulfill all work ASAP!

Looking forward to the commissioned art, that said never saw the request on my part as a priority of yours.

For myself at least Any art that will get you published is more important then what I ask you to do for me... Thanks!

Yeah, you really gotta treat it like "real work" otherwise you'll keep coming up with excuses *not* to do it. Getting better at my commissions is also on my Resolutions list. :D

Yup, that's exactly my main issue. I haven't been giving it the importance it requires nowadays. It think it's about time to take it to the next level or make it an actual hobby.

When I asked my wife what she suggested for my Resolutions she said "learn how to draw"... :D

Here's for a greatly artsy and creative 2013 Liz, CHEERS!

I'm just glad you're alive! You didn't post anything all through December. I'm sorry life makes it difficult to pursue your passion but both Nick (the Pulse commission) and I are super excited to get to work with you on our pieces. /hugs!!!!
